Flights
The closest airport to Borgo is Rome Fiumicino 'Leonardo Da Vinci' Airport. It is a 35 minute drive from the airport to the venue. Both Aer Lingus and Ryanair fly from Dublin to Fiumicino.
All flights with both Ryanair and Aer Lingus are now on sale for the wedding weekend, please book whatever flights suit yourselves the best.
We have had some questions about the travel info of other guests so please find some details below:
Some guests are travelling to Rome on Tuesday 26th August and will be heading to the city for a couple of days before going to the venue. The flight they have booked is the 10:25am flight from Dublin to Rome with Aer Lingus.
Guests who are flying in for the wedding weekend have booked the first flights out of Dublin on Thursday 28th August 06:20am, there are guests on both the Aer Lingus and Ryanair flights that morning.
Guests have also booked the Aer Lingus flight from Rome back to Dublin on Sunday 31st August at 15:10pm.
Transfers & Taxis
Taxis
Borgo can arrange transfers for you from the airport in Rome direct to Borgo di Tragliata. Some taxis charge a premium rate for airport collection so prebooking one beforehand will help avoid this as they will be cheaper.
Private Bus
If we have a large number of guests arriving on the same flight we can organise a private bus through Borgo.
Trains from Rome City
For those who will already be in Rome before the wedding, you can get to Borgo region by train and then to the venue by taxi. A train ticket costs approx. €6 each way.
- Go to the main train station 'Rome Termini', and take a train in the direction of 'Civitavecchia' (departs every 30-60 minutes).
- Get off at 'Torrimpietra / Palidoro' station.
Once in 'Torrimpietra/Palidoro', you can take a taxi to Borgo di Tragliata which is about 15 minutes drive. Have your taxi booked in advance from Borgo.
Car Hire
You can hire a car from the airport and drive directly to Borgo di Tragliata, it is a 35-minute drive from Fiumicino Airport.
